Respond With Love

Whenever you are taken aback by a situation, comment, or someone’s behavior, rather than react… pause. You have power in that moment between stimulus and response. If the situation is something within your control, make a plan and respond systematically. If however, a circumstance is outside of your control, and especially if someone’s behavior causes hurt, act in two ways:

1. Speak Up. Using your voice will always serve you.

2. Respond with Love. The most effective way to influence others is with love.

I know, at times responding with love is super challenging. In those moments, before you’ve spoken your feelings and thoughts, repeat to yourself, “Respond with love.” (sometimes over and over!). That energy and focus dissipates anger, resentment, creating a sense of control repelling negative energy around you like a circular shield. You will be proud of rising above the negative energy, and feel more capable of handling challenging encounters. LOVE ~ Nova
