Finding Your Map
On the secluded island, the glowing sun continues to rise each day through the mist of the ocean fog. Breaking the horizon with immeasurable colors refracting and bouncing upon the water, the new light brings a golden glow of hope across the shoreline, waking the sleeping gulls and warming the sand beneath your feet. The constant of the sun reminds you that God will bring you a new day, a new beginning with unspoken possibilities. He provides you with what you need. The rays of the sun are filled with hope, warmth, and new possibilities sparkling off the foamy crests of the sea and glistening on the wet sand of the shore.
There at the shore, where the flow of life and God’s will collide, lays your map resting in a glass bottle. The bottle has no lid or cork laid into it, and yet the map has been protected from the spray of the sea. The rim of the bottle dances with thousands of prisms of light reflecting the sun and exhales the circling sounds of the ocean, like a shell held close to your ear. Both curiosity and answers flow from the unending depths of the bottle urging the map to be released. Upon carefully pulling out the rolled paper, the parchment unravels completely as if it were never coiled.
The parchment is a beautiful golden color, solid and sturdy. The weight of the map feels comfortable and strong. Filters of light seep through the grains of the paper emphasizing its age and antiquity. This is the fabric of life. We all have a piece of it given to us by our Creator. Upon it lie beautiful markings drawn with creativity and decisiveness. The markings reflect years and years of life, ancient energy, and wisdom. The destinations on the map indicate critical connections you need to fulfill by expressing your creative self. The journey appears long and strenuous, but can take place in an instant. Surely if you follow the map, an abundant treasure will be discovered.
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”- Jesus Christ, Mathew 6:21
